Nebraska Midwest Dairy Scholarships

Overview
This scholarship is open to full-time undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at an accredited college. High school seniors who will begin full-time college study this coming fall are also eligible.
Eligibility
To qualify, applicants must meet both of the following requirements:
- Be considered or accepted as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college. (Incoming full-time college students who are current high school seniors may apply.)
- Be contributing to the Midwest Dairy checkoff as of January 1 of the current calendar year through one of these two methods:
- The applicant—or the applicant’s parent(s), guardian(s), grandparent(s) or sibling—owns a dairy farm located in Nebraska; or
- The applicant is employed on a dairy farm in Nebraska and has a recommendation from the producer employer.
Previous scholarship recipients may submit a new application in future years provided they continue to meet all eligibility requirements.

Applications will be judged on:
- Involvement in and contributions to the dairy industry
- Leadership experience
- Career objectives and plans
- Academic performance
How to Apply and Deadlines
1. Submit the online application by March 1, 2026.
2. Notification of award decisions will be sent by April 15, 2026. Awardees will then be required to provide the following items by May 15, 2026:
- High-resolution photograph
- Newspaper information form
- Publicity consent form
- W-9 form
3. Scholarship recipients must provide proof of enrollment from the college they will attend by September 1, 2026. Once enrollment verification is received, scholarship funds will be disbursed directly to the student.
