BPW Triangle Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Business and Professional Women Triangle
Introduction
BPW/Triangle awards annual scholarships to support women pursuing academic and professional excellence. The 2026 scholarship cycle is now open. These awards are intended for women of integrity who demonstrate leadership potential and a commitment to supporting and advocating for other women. Please read all instructions thoroughly before submitting your application. Deadline: March 16, 2026.
Scholarships Available
- $1,500 Dr. Lois E. Frazier Scholarship — merit-based (minimum GPA: 3.5)
- $1,500 Mary Edith Fox Scholarship — need-based (minimum GPA: 2.5)

Eligibility
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be female and currently enrolled (full- or part-time) at an accredited U.S. college, university, or institution of higher learning. Note: High school students are not eligible, even if they are taking college courses.
- Have a home address in one of these North Carolina counties: Wake, Durham, Orange, Chatham, or Johnston. (You may attend school outside these counties.)
- Be in good academic standing and be enrolled in the semester following the scholarship award.
Application Requirements
Before beginning the online application, have the following documents ready to upload as PDFs:
1. An unofficial transcript.
2. A personal statement describing: your efforts to support and advocate for women/girls; why you chose your major; and your post-graduation career plans or goals.
3. A current resume listing work experience.

Selection Process
The Scholarship Review Committee will assess each submission using the following factors:
- Completeness of the application and required documents (transcript, personal statement, resume)
- Demonstrated leadership and integrity
- Financial need and/or academic achievement
- Commitment to community service and “giving back”
Timeline & Award Disbursement
- Applications must be submitted by March 16, 2026.
- Judges will review applications in early spring.
- Recipients will be announced and recognized at the BPW/Triangle scholarship meeting in late spring.
- Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the recipient’s school in August following the award. Winners must provide the school payee information so the Treasurer can issue payment.
